The interface is genuinely easy, reporting is clear, and AutoFile reliably handles filing and remittance, which saves real time and reduces errors for online sellers juggling nexus across states. Integrations with the major e-commerce platforms are a strength.

Where it falls short: support is the loudest complaint, with users reporting voicemail-only phone lines and slow email responses, sometimes days or weeks. It is not a managed service, so checking for errors and overpayments is on you, with refiling slow and fee-based. Pricing rose sharply in 2026 (the Starter plan doubled and filing fees climbed), and it covers US sales tax only, with no VAT or GST for international sellers.

Best for: US-based e-commerce and SaaS businesses that need automated multi-state sales tax filing.

Verdict: a capable, easy-to-use sales tax engine that does the core job well for US sellers. Just go in knowing support is thin and the responsibility for accuracy stays with you, and that it will not help if you sell internationally.
