About Nooxit

Nooxit is a Berlin-based platform that runs specialist AI agents across the source-to-pay cycle, covering procurement, customs, accounting and tax. The accounting agents process incoming invoices across formats, generate journal entries and posting suggestions, identify capitalisable assets and handle accrual postings to shorten period close.

The distinguishing layer is tax. Separate VAT, withholding tax and corporate tax agents assign codes at invoice line-item level inside SAP, drawing on a legal knowledge base that the company says is refreshed automatically from official tax authority sources across more than 40 jurisdictions, with every decision traceable to the statute behind it. Connectors span SAP, SAP Ariba, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Coupa, OpenText, Tungsten Automation and xSuite, among more than 30 listed integrations.

Nooxit states it has more than 50 enterprise customers and names REWE Group, ZF Friedrichshafen, GLS and Pfeifer und Langen on its site. It is positioned squarely at large European back offices running SAP rather than at small practices.

Key Features

  • Accounting agents that turn incoming invoices into journal entries, with duplicate detection and anomaly flagging
  • VAT, withholding tax and corporate tax agents that assign codes at invoice line-item level in SAP
  • A legal knowledge base that updates from official tax authority sources so decisions cite their legal basis
  • Asset and treasury agents covering capitalisation, depreciation postings and accrual entries

Our in-depth review

Nooxit sells an AI workforce for the source-to-pay back office, and the part that should interest accountants is the tax agent layer rather than the procurement automation wrapped around it.

What it does well. Assigning the correct VAT code at invoice line-item level in SAP is genuinely hard, and Nooxit's approach of grounding that decision in a continuously refreshed legal knowledge base, then leaving an audit trail back to the governing statute, is the right shape for something a tax authority may later question. Coverage across more than 40 countries with withholding tax and double taxation agreement handling is more than most invoice automation tools attempt. The integration list is heavyweight and enterprise-appropriate, and the accounting agents extend past capture into journal entries, depreciation postings and accruals.

Where it falls short. Every headline number on the site belongs to the vendor. The claimed 95% reduction in process costs, the 50-plus enterprise customers and the 99.2% auto-processing rate shown in the product demo are all Nooxit's own figures with no published independent verification, and the named logos indicate customers rather than measured outcomes. Pricing is not published and the sales motion is demo-led and enterprise-length. The SAP and Dynamics centre of gravity means a practice on QuickBooks or Xero has nothing to connect to, and automated tax determination is precisely the area where an incorrect classification carries real consequences, so the audit trail matters more than the automation rate.

Best for. Large European corporate finance teams running SAP that process high invoice volumes across multiple VAT jurisdictions.

Verdict. A serious enterprise product with an unusually thoughtful tax layer, but entirely the wrong scale for a small practice and still resting on unaudited vendor numbers.
