Nanonets
AI document extraction and process agents that read invoices and finance documents and post them to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and NetSuite.
About Nanonets
Nanonets builds AI agents and document extraction models for business processes, with accounts payable and finance operations among its main uses. It reads invoices, receipts and other documents, applies business rules, and passes the result to the finance system.
The vendor describes agents that act on their own when a confidence score is high and ask a person when it is not, learn from human corrections, and keep audit logs with approval gates. Integrations listed include Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and NetSuite, plus SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Gmail and Slack, with MCP, REST and GraphQL access. The vendor states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance, GDPR alignment, and a choice of US, EU or APAC data residency on enterprise plans.
Nanonets names customers including Schneider Electric, Volkswagen, Mondelez and Ryanair, and claims use by 35% of the Fortune 500 and over 10,000 enterprises (vendor claim). Billing is usage based per block run, with $50 of free credits to start. It is positioned for finance teams and developers who want automation beyond simple capture.

Our in-depth review
Nanonets is a general document and process automation platform that finance teams use for invoices and receipts. It is more flexible than a pure capture tool, and also more of a build-it-yourself product.
What it does well. The control model is sensible for finance work: confidence scores decide when an agent acts alone and when a person approves, and corrections feed back into the model. Integrations include Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and NetSuite, and the vendor states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance with US, EU or APAC data residency on enterprise plans. Named customers are large and recognisable, and the usage-based pricing means a small practice can start with $50 of free credits and no card.
Where it falls short. Pay per block run pricing is hard to forecast: simple, standard and complex runs cost different amounts, so a month of messy invoices may cost more than expected. The pricing page does not say whether customer data is used for model training, so ask for the data processing terms before sending client documents. The marketing is aimed at enterprises and developers, and a bookkeeping practice may find setup heavier than with an accountant-specific capture tool. Prices are shown in dollars without a stated currency, and support on the starter plan is community only.
Best for. Finance and operations teams, and larger accounting firms or in-house teams, that process varied documents and want workflow rules and approvals around extraction. It also suits teams with developers who can use the API. Allow time to set rules and test them on real documents before trusting automatic posting, because the quality of the result depends on how well the workflow is configured and reviewed.
Verdict. A capable, security-conscious extraction platform with credible customers. Trial it on your hardest invoice layouts, add up block run costs for a typical month, and compare it with Dext in this directory if you only need simple receipt and bill capture for small clients.
