About Relish

Relish, operated by Relish IQ, Inc, provides supplier data validation and AI invoice processing that runs inside the systems a finance team already uses. Its Data Assure product validates supplier identity, banking details, tax data, ownership records and sanctions status at onboarding, through the supplier lifecycle and again before a payment is released, while Invoice AI digitises and validates invoices that arrive outside the system.

Invoice AI is template-free, using machine learning to read documents including handwritten notes, and processes invoices in more than 110 languages. The platform is certified for SAP and integrates with SAP Ariba, Coupa, Workday and ServiceNow, and Relish partners with Dun and Bradstreet for supplier enrichment. Relish states it has more than 400 enterprise customers and over 20 years of operating history, and names PayPal, Best Buy, Denny's, Freeport-McMoRan and several universities among them. Qualified validations are backed by what Relish calls a Fraud Protection Guarantee. On 3 September 2026 payment fraud prevention provider Eftsure agreed to acquire Relish, with terms undisclosed.

It is aimed at large accounts payable, procurement and treasury functions running enterprise ERP or procurement suites, rather than at small practices or bookkeepers.

Our in-depth review

Relish sits in the unglamorous but expensive corner of finance where the question is not whether an invoice was coded correctly, but whether the bank account it is about to be paid into belongs to the supplier you think it does.

What it does well. The two halves of the platform fit together sensibly. Data Assure runs identity, banking, tax, ownership and sanctions checks continuously rather than once at onboarding, which is the right shape for a fraud problem that changes after a supplier is approved. Invoice AI avoids the template maintenance that makes traditional OCR miserable, and multi-language coverage is genuinely useful for groups with overseas suppliers. Running natively inside SAP, Coupa, Workday and ServiceNow is the practical selling point, since it means no new system for AP staff to learn. Customer references are named and checkable rather than anonymous, which is more than most vendors in this space offer.

Where it falls short. The reference statistics, including 400 plus enterprise customers, a supplier validation cut from 50 minutes to 2 and 75 to 80% touchless processing, come from Relish and its customers rather than from independent testing. The Fraud Protection Guarantee applies only to qualified validations, so the exclusions matter and are not spelled out on the marketing pages. Pricing is not published at all. The September 2026 acquisition by Eftsure is a reasonable strategic fit but does introduce the usual integration and roadmap uncertainty for the next year or so. This is also enterprise software with an enterprise footprint, so smaller finance teams will find it heavy.

Best for. Large finance and procurement functions already running SAP, Coupa, Workday or ServiceNow that need payment fraud controls and invoice automation in one place.

Verdict. A mature, well-integrated answer to supplier fraud and manual invoice handling, provided you are big enough to need it and can live with a vendor mid-acquisition.
