About Oversight

Oversight is an AI finance risk intelligence platform that sits across ERP, travel and expense, card, procurement, payments, vendor and accounting systems and analyses all spend activity rather than a sample. Procure-to-pay monitoring detects duplicate payments, vendor anomalies, policy issues and payables risk. Travel and expense monitoring flags fake receipts, duplicate reimbursements, policy drift and repeat misuse, and purchase card monitoring surfaces card misuse. Vendor Statement Reconciliation uses AI matching to find missed vendor credits and resolve discrepancies, and a compliance monitoring module sits alongside. Its agentic layer, Oversight Actions, can resolve low-risk issues autonomously with escalation paths and an audit trail.

The company says it has spent two decades building AI for spend monitoring, and customer logos include Southwest Airlines, Delta, Caterpillar, Autodesk, Tyson and Texas A&M University System. Its own figures claim more than 95 percent true risk detection, 99 percent duplicate payment prevention and 70 percent less audit effort, with Southwest reporting more than 9.1 million dollars of issues found. It won a Newsweek AI Impact Award in 2026 and offers resolution and professional services as well as software.

It is built for internal audit, payables control and compliance teams at large organisations.

Our in-depth review

Oversight does a job large finance and internal audit teams know well: finding the duplicate payment, the reused receipt or the purchase card misused for months, across millions of transactions that no sample would catch. Its pitch is continuous monitoring of every transaction, with findings routed to the right person as cases.

What it does well. Two decades in this niche shows in the breadth of coverage, spanning payables, travel and expense, purchase cards, vendor statements and compliance in one place. Vendor Statement Reconciliation is a practical addition, because missed supplier credits are real money that most teams never chase. The customer list is long and recognisable, the Southwest case study gives a concrete figure, and the option of resolution services means a lean team can outsource some of the follow-up. Letting low-risk items resolve autonomously, with an audit trail, reduces case fatigue.

Where it falls short. Pricing is not published and every route in is a demo, so this is an enterprise procurement. The detection and savings figures are Oversight's own. The homepage names no specific ERP or expense integrations, so buyers should confirm connectors for their ERP, expense and card systems up front, along with the effort needed to map historic data, and it says little about security certifications beyond policies and data protection terms. Nothing here is designed for the small business clients of an accounting practice using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

Best for. Internal audit, payables and compliance teams at large corporates, universities and public bodies with high transaction volumes across payables, expenses and purchase cards. A useful pilot is to load a year of historic payables and card data and compare what Oversight finds with what internal audit and recovery work already found. Organisations wanting to stop fraudulent bank detail changes before payment should also look at Eftsure, and those focused purely on expense claims at AppZen or Emburse Assurance.

Verdict. A veteran spend-audit platform that remains a strong choice for continuous monitoring at enterprise scale. Confirm integrations and certifications before committing.
