About Certinia

Certinia is a Salesforce-native platform combining Professional Services Cloud, Financial Management Cloud and Customer Success Cloud for services businesses. Its Veda AI suite provides agents, intelligent actions and agentic workflows across the services lifecycle.

On 9 September 2026 Certinia announced its System of Action for services alongside the largest Veda expansion to date, adding 14 agents and taking the Veda Intelligent Actions library from 64 to 135. Those actions now reach into the core ledger, posting, cancelling and reversing general ledger transactions, allocating inventory and generating and recognising revenue schedules, and they are callable over Model Context Protocol from Slack, Claude or Microsoft Copilot. Certinia is named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for AI-Enabled PSA Applications 2025-2026.

It is built for consulting, IT services, software and IT hardware firms running their own books, with a dedicated tax and audit industry line, rather than for practices doing client accounting work.

Key Features

  • 135 Veda Intelligent Actions, up from 64, across sales, delivery and finance
  • Ledger actions that post, cancel and reverse GL transactions and revenue schedules
  • Callable over Model Context Protocol from Slack, Claude or Microsoft Copilot
  • Permissions, approval thresholds and audit trails inherited from Salesforce
The AI Ledger

Our in-depth review

Certinia is a Salesforce-native professional services and financial management platform whose Veda AI suite moved properly into ledger territory in September 2026.

What it does well. The September 2026 release added 14 agents and took the Veda Intelligent Actions library from 64 to 135, and the financially interesting part is that those actions now post, cancel and reverse general ledger transactions, allocate inventory and generate and recognise revenue schedules. They are callable over Model Context Protocol from Slack, Claude or Microsoft Copilot, so a finance lead can trigger ledger work without opening the ERP at all. Because it is Salesforce-native, permissions, approval thresholds and audit trails inherit from a platform most buyers already govern, which matters more than it sounds when agents are writing to the ledger.

Where it falls short. The headline gains, proposals dropping from eight hours to one and 11 to 23% less margin lost to rework, are Certinia's own marketing figures with no independent testing behind them. Its stated targets of 40 or more agents and 300 or more actions by year end are plans rather than shipped capability. Pricing is quote-only. Most importantly, this is built for services businesses running their own books, not for practices doing client accounting, so the fit for a typical bookkeeping firm is indirect. It also requires Salesforce.

Best for. Consulting, IT services and software firms already on Salesforce that want agents acting inside their own ledger rather than reporting on it.

Verdict. Serious agentic capability for finance teams, but only worth evaluating if you are already a Salesforce shop.
