About Quillon

Quillon is an AI workspace for technical accounting and financial reporting. It lets teams research US GAAP and IFRS questions with answers traced to the exact paragraph, search and benchmark SEC filings through a plain-English EDGAR interface, extract accounting-relevant terms from contracts, run recognition and disclosure checklists, and draft citation-backed memos in a built-in editor with review and redlining.

The company was founded in 2023 by former Goldman Sachs and Citibank engineers, rebranded from Acclara AI, and raised $1.5m in pre-seed funding led by 42CAP in April 2026. The platform is SOC 2 compliant, encrypts data at rest and in transit, and does not train models on customer data. The vendor reports more than 500 accountants on the platform.

Quillon is positioned for technical accounting directors, SEC reporting managers, controllers and accounting consultants working on complex matters such as acquisitions, revenue recognition and lease accounting.

Our in-depth review

Quillon is a technical accounting workspace from a Sofia and San Francisco team, built for US GAAP and IFRS research, SEC filing benchmarking and memo drafting rather than day-to-day bookkeeping.

What it does well. Focus is its strength. Every claim in its output links to the exact paragraph of the codification, IFRS standard or EDGAR filing, which directly addresses the hallucinated-citation problem that makes general-purpose AI risky for this work. The vendor claims 500 plus accountants on the platform and 50 plus hours saved per accountant per month, both the vendor's own figures. SOC 2 compliance, AES-256 encryption and a no-training policy on customer data are sensible for audit-sensitive material, and named CPA testimonials add some credibility.

Where it falls short. An eight-person team on a modest pre-seed carries continuity risk for firms embedding it in SEC reporting workflows. Pricing is not published. The bring-your-own-content model means licensed firm handbooks are your responsibility, and comment letter and 8-K coverage is still being added.

Best for. Technical accounting and SEC reporting teams at listed companies, plus advisory practices drafting memos that must survive auditor scrutiny.

Verdict. A genuinely differentiated research and memo tool worth trialling, with vendor claims tested against your own filings first.
