Syft Analytics

Syft Analytics is cloud financial reporting, analysis and consolidation, now owned by Xero. It connects to Xero, QuickBooks and Sage to turn ledger data into dashboards, management reports, KPI tracking and multi-entity consolidations. It is highly rated, around 4.8 out of 5 on G2.

What it does well: reporting and consolidation. Setup is effortless, especially in the Xero ecosystem, and it pulls data in real time to consolidate multiple entities, including multi-currency. Report templates and the consolidation engine are above average, support is repeatedly praised as fast and proactive, and pricing is accessible, starting around $23 a month.

Where it falls short: report customisation has limits, data refreshes can feel slow, and it is stronger on consolidation than on real-time data or automated board packs. The API is not extensive, so some drilled-down custom analysis still ends up back in Excel, and frequent updates mean occasionally relearning where things are. There is a learning curve for those without a strong reporting background.

Best for: accountants and finance teams, especially in the Xero world, that need polished management reporting and multi-entity consolidation without enterprise cost.

Verdict: one of the best-value reporting and consolidation tools for practices, with genuinely strong templates and support. If your needs are heavy on real-time dashboards or deep custom analytics, test those specific limits, but for management reporting it is hard to beat at the price.
