About AI Account
AI Account is a cloud accounting platform built for small and medium businesses in South East Asia, developed by Singapore-based AI Account Pte Ltd. The software embeds what the vendor calls an AI accountant that applies accounting logic across invoicing, bank reconciliation, reporting and compliance workflows.
The platform supports Singapore GST reporting and the InvoiceNow e-invoicing requirement, with localisation for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong. It was named Best AI-Driven Accounting Software Platform in South East Asia at the 2026 Wealth and Finance FinTech Awards on 14 July 2026 and reports more than 800 companies using the software.
It is positioned for SME owners and the bookkeeping and accounting firms that serve them in the region.
Key Features
- AI-assisted double-entry bookkeeping and bank reconciliation
- Singapore GST reporting and InvoiceNow e-invoicing support
- Localisation for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong
- Built-in financial reports for SME owners and their accountants
Our in-depth review
AI Account is a Singapore-built SME ledger that leans hard on its AI branding. For firms serving South East Asian clients it is worth a look; elsewhere its appeal is narrower.
What it does well. Regional compliance is the genuine strength: Singapore GST reporting, readiness for the InvoiceNow e-invoicing mandate and localisation across four markets give it a practical edge over global ledgers that treat the region as an afterthought. It is positioned as cheaper than Xero or QuickBooks locally, and more than 800 companies reportedly use it. The claims about its AI accountant reducing manual effort are the vendor's own.
Where it falls short. The substance of the AI layer is hard to assess from outside: there are no published benchmarks, and its 2026 award comes from a commercial awards programme rather than independent user testing. The integration ecosystem is thin next to the big cloud ledgers, and the product has little relevance for UK or US practices.
Best for. SMEs and bookkeeping firms operating in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia or Hong Kong that want a low-cost, locally compliant cloud ledger.
Verdict. A pragmatic regional choice for South East Asian SME compliance, not yet a proven AI leader.
