Joiin Review 2026: UK Pricing, Plans, AI and Multi-Entity Consolidation
Joiin turns a month-end job that usually means exports, lookups and a fragile spreadsheet into a consolidated report pack that rebuilds itself. It connects to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent and six other ledgers, maps every entity into one chart of accounts, strips out intercompany balances, converts currencies and sends branded packs to clients, boards and lenders. Users and reports are unlimited, prices are published and scale by company, and a UK practice can run it for under £3 per client company a month. This guide covers what each plan gives you, what it costs in pounds, four worked examples, the AI features and how Joiin compares with Fathom, Syft and other rivals. Prices were read on the Joiin pricing page on 3 November 2026.
TL;DR:
- Consolidated group reporting without spreadsheets: mapping, intercompany eliminations and currency conversion are automatic, across 10 direct ledger integrations.
- Unlimited users, reports and clients on every plan, so the whole team and every client can use it at no extra cost.
- Low, published prices in pounds for UK visitors: one company from £25 a month, or £20 a month billed annually. A 50-company practice pays £1,632 a year on Core.
- AI chat and one-click report commentary are on every plan, powered by Claude through AWS Bedrock, and Joiin says your data is not used to train external models.
- A 14-day trial on the top plan, with no card, and you pick a plan only at the end.
- Joiin scores 4.1 out of 5 in our directory.
- Best for: practices and finance teams consolidating several entities across different ledgers or currencies.

Why firms choose Joiin
A client with a trading company, a property company and a holding company has three sets of books, often with different charts of accounts, sometimes in different ledgers, with loans and recharges running between them. A consolidated profit and loss account usually means exporting each ledger, mapping codes, removing intercompany balances by hand and converting any foreign currency. Next month, it all starts again.
Joiin replaces that cycle. Once the entities are connected and mapped, the group view updates from the ledgers. The practical gains are:
- Hours back at month end. Mapping and eliminations are set once, then reused every period.
- Mixed ledgers in one report. A Xero subsidiary and a QuickBooks parent consolidate side by side. Joiin lists direct integrations with Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, FreeAgent, Zoho Books, Pennylane, MYOB, Fortnox and Puzzle, plus spreadsheets.
- Client-ready packs. Report packs combine P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, dashboards and commentary, and export to PDF, CSV or Excel.
- No per-user charges. Every plan includes unlimited users, reports and clients, so adding a colleague or giving a client a login costs nothing.
- Single companies too. Many practices start with ordinary management accounts for one company and grow into consolidation.
Joiin is a UK business. Joiin Ltd is registered in Exeter and was incorporated in July 2017, and its about page says it launched in 2018 with a global customer base. Its homepage says 65,000 organisations trust it, and its Xero App Store listing shows a 4.9 rating from 494 reviews. See our Joiin listing for the full profile.
Which Joiin plan fits your work
Every plan includes consolidation with chart of accounts mapping and eliminations, financial, sales and purchasing reports, budgets, custom layouts, dashboards, report packs, exports, and AI chat and summaries. The plans differ in currency handling, forecasting and data access.

Choose Core for single-currency groups and management accounts for UK companies. It already covers the core job of consolidation.
Choose Pro, which Joiin marks as most popular, when any entity reports in another currency or you want forecasts and the Excel add-in.
Choose Max when you want your own exchange rates, a data feed into Power BI, Tableau or a warehouse, or to query Joiin from an AI assistant.
Joiin's Xero App Store listing still says all features are on every plan. The pricing page is newer and splits them as shown above.
What Joiin costs in pounds
The calculator on the pricing page sets the currency from your location, so a UK visitor sees sterling. A selector switches between GBP, USD, EUR, AUD and NZD, and Joiin confirms you can be billed in any of the five. Billing currency is separate from the reporting currency inside Joiin. These are the sterling prices the calculator showed us. The page does not say whether VAT is included or added.
| Companies | Core monthly | Pro monthly | Max monthly | Core annual | Pro annual | Max annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | £25 | £30 | £35 | £240 | £288 | £384 |
| 2 | £29 | £32 | £42 | £276 | £312 | £408 |
| 5 | £55 | £59 | £69 | £528 | £564 | £660 |
| 10 | £87 | £93 | £103 | £840 | £888 | £984 |
| 20 | £131 | £138 | £160 | £1,260 | £1,320 | £1,536 |
| 50 | £170 | £178 | £199 | £1,632 | £1,704 | £1,908 |
| 100 | £265 | £278 | £320 | £2,388 | £2,508 | £2,880 |
Above 100 companies, each extra company adds £2.20 a month on Core, £2.50 on Pro and £3 on Max with monthly billing, or £21, £23 or £27 a year on annual billing.
In dollars, the calculator shows Core at $35 a month for one company, or $336 a year. An older table lower on the page shows $28 for one company, which matches the annual per-month Core figure, so quote from the calculator. The calculator has fixed points at 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 companies, so ask Joiin which band applies if your count falls between two.
Four worked examples
These use the published sterling prices and exclude any VAT.
1. Management accounts for one client company
| Plan and billing | Sum | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| Core, monthly | £25 x 12 | £300 |
| Core, annual | £240 | £240 |
Annual billing saves £60 a year, a 20% saving, and puts monthly management accounts with AI commentary within reach of the smallest client.
2. A UK group of five companies with a US subsidiary
The US company keeps its books in dollars, so the group needs Pro for multi-currency reporting.
| Plan and billing | Sum | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| Pro, monthly | £59 x 12 | £708 |
| Pro, annual | £564 | £564 |
| Max, annual | £660 | £660 |
Pro on annual billing works out at £47 a month for the whole group, about £9.40 per company. That is a small cost against the hours a manual multi-currency consolidation takes each month.
3. A practice reporting for 50 client companies
| Plan and billing | Sum | Per company per year |
|---|---|---|
| Core, annual | £1,632 / 50 | £32.64 |
| Pro, annual | £1,704 / 50 | £34.08 |
At £2.72 per client company a month on annual Core, Joiin fits inside a monthly management accounts fee without a separate line on the invoice.
4. A practice with 150 client companies
| Plan and billing | Sum | Total |
|---|---|---|
| Core, monthly | £265 + 50 x £2.20 | £375 a month |
| Core, annual | £2,388 + 50 x £21 | £3,438 a year |
Annual Core works out at £22.92 per company a year. The more clients a practice adds, the lower the cost per client.
AI that drafts the commentary
Commentary is the slowest part of a report pack to write and the part clients read first. Joiin Intelligence is aimed squarely at it, and it is split across the plans as Ask, Act and Connect.
According to Joiin:
- Ask Joiin AI, on every plan, answers questions about your financial and operational data in plain language.
- AI summaries, on every plan, add narrative commentary to a report pack in one click, drawing on the reports and charts in the pack.
- In-report insights add an AI button to the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPI reports that analyses the report on screen.
- AI agents, on Pro and Max, build reports and packs and carry out tasks such as intercompany eliminations and account merging, with each action confirmed and traceable.
- An MCP server, on Max, lets assistants such as Claude query consolidated data, run reports and drill into transactions.
Joiin says Joiin Intelligence is powered by Claude from Anthropic through AWS Bedrock, runs inside its own AWS environment, and does not send data to outside AI services or let it be used to train external models. That is a clearer account of models and data flows than many reporting tools give, and it makes the conversation with a cautious client easier.
Security and data handling
Joiin runs entirely on Amazon Web Services. Its security FAQ says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and two-factor authentication can be switched on for any user, using a code sent by SMS. Card payments are handled by Stripe. Deleting a company removes its data and access tokens, and data is deleted after a cancelled subscription reaches the end of its billing period. The AI page says Joiin aligns with GDPR and CCPA.
Because the source data stays in your accounting systems, lock-in is low: if you leave, your ledgers are untouched.
Where Joiin falls short
- No named security certification. The pages we read name no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials certificate and no hosting region. Firms whose clients ask for one should request it in writing.
- Reporting, not full planning. Pro and Max add forecasting, but Joiin is not a full planning platform with scenarios and workflow.
- Check the AI commentary. Joiin publishes no accuracy figures, so review the commentary on your own data before it goes to a client.
- Confirm currency and VAT. VAT is not mentioned, and an older dollar table on the page does not match the calculator.
- Core is single-currency, and the API, Zapier and MCP access are Max only. White labelling is still coming soon.
- Mapping takes care. Mapping charts of accounts across several entities takes time to get right the first time.
Where Joiin wins against Fathom, Syft and other rivals
All of these are in our Reporting and dashboards category, shown with their current editor scores.
| Tool | AI Ledger score | Best for | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fathom | 4.5 | Polished management reports and KPIs | Pro from £43 a month for one company, excl. VAT |
| Datarails | 4.5 | FP&A teams that plan in Excel | Quote only |
| Syft Analytics | 4.4 | Xero practices wanting visual reporting | Free for eligible Xero clients; direct prices not published |
| Spotlight Reporting | 4.2 | Reporting, forecasting and benchmarks | Quote only |
| Xero Analytics | 4.2 | Basic dashboards for single Xero companies | Included in Xero plans from £18 a month |
| Joiin | 4.1 | Consolidation across mixed ledgers and currencies | From £25 a month, or £20 billed annually |
| Cube | 4.1 | Spreadsheet-based planning | Quote only |
| Reach Reporting | 4.1 | Branded client reports, US-led | From $149 a month for one connection |
Several rivals score higher overall, mainly for presentation depth or planning. Joiin wins in four places:
- Price for a single company. Joiin Core at £25 a month is £18 less than Fathom Pro at £43, before any VAT difference.
- Published prices. Datarails, Spotlight Reporting and Cube are quote only. With Joiin you can budget from the website.
- Mixed ledgers. Xero Analytics covers Xero only, and Syft's free route is for Xero clients. Joiin consolidates across ten ledger platforms.
- Unlimited users at every level. Nobody on the team is rationed.
Choose Fathom when presentation and KPI reporting for advisory clients matter most, Syft or Xero Analytics for Xero clients who need dashboards at little or no cost, and Datarails or Cube when the job is planning rather than reporting. Our Fathom vs Syft vs Xero Analytics comparison and our guide to the best management reporting software for UK accountants go deeper, and our Datarails review covers the planning side. How to try Joiin
The trial lasts 14 days, needs no credit card and runs on Max, so every feature is open from the first login. You do not choose a plan at sign-up. When the trial ends, you pick Core, Pro or Max in the app, and your data, connections and reports carry over. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan, and you can change plan later from account settings.
To get the most from the 14 days, connect a real client group, check the intercompany eliminations, run a month with a foreign subsidiary if you have one, and generate an AI summary for a report pack. Note which Pro or Max features you used, because that decides your plan.

Our verdict
Joiin is one of the most cost-effective ways for a UK practice to stop building group accounts in spreadsheets. It connects to more ledgers than most rivals, handles mapping, eliminations and currency conversion automatically, includes unlimited users and reports, and publishes prices in pounds that fall per company as you grow. The AI commentary is on every plan and its data handling is clearly documented. Check for a named security certification if your clients require one, and confirm VAT on your quote.
We score Joiin 4.1 out of 5. For practices with multi-entity clients, it is a strong, low-risk choice, and the no-card trial makes it easy to prove on your own data.
