About Every
Every is a US back office platform for startups that bundles incorporation, business banking, payroll, HR and benefits, bookkeeping and corporate tax into one system. Its payroll and HR software covers US payroll, state tax accounts, benefits administration, 401(k), FSA, time and attendance, time off and an HRIS, with global contractor payments and employer of record hiring in what it says are more than 200 countries. Banking is provided by Thread Bank, Member FDIC, with corporate cards, bill pay, expense management and treasury investing.
Its AI features are Superintelligence, which answers natural-language questions about company data and builds live reports from HR data, and Compliance AI, described as compliance agents for hiring, terminations and policy setup. Because spend, payroll and accounting data sit in one place, the company says there is nothing to connect or sync; it does not list third-party ledger integrations such as Xero or QuickBooks. Bookkeeping and tax are delivered with a dedicated bookkeeper and controller and accountants and CPAs on staff.
Pricing is published: incorporation and banking are free, HR, payroll and benefits start at $25 per employee a month plus $50, bookkeeping starts at $330 a month and tax from $1,500 a year. It is aimed at US startups, particularly newly incorporated Delaware C-corps.

Our in-depth review
Every is less a tool for accountants than a replacement for a startup's patchwork of payroll provider, bank, bookkeeper and tax preparer. For a practice it is mainly a competitor for early-stage US clients, and occasionally a system a client brings with them.
What it does well. The bundle is coherent and the pricing is unusually transparent. Payroll from $25 per employee a month plus a $50 base fee, contractors from $25, bookkeeping from $330 a month and tax from $1,500 a year are all published, with free incorporation and banking. Having payroll, spend and the ledger in one system removes a whole class of reconciliation problems, and the Compliance AI agents for hiring, terminations and policy setup address a real risk for founders who have no HR person. Superintelligence answering plain-language questions over payroll and spend data is a practical touch for founders who will never open a report.
Where it falls short. It is built for the US: Delaware incorporation, US state payroll taxes, 1099s and US corporate tax. There is nothing for PAYE, VAT or Companies House, so it has no role for UK entities. There are no listed integrations with Xero, QuickBooks or other ledgers, which makes it hard for an outside accountant to work alongside and creates lock-in: moving away means rebuilding payroll, banking and books at once. Bookkeeping and tax are delivered by Every's own staff, so it is partly a service; ad hoc work costs $125 an hour for an accountant and $250 for a controller. The AI features are described in general terms on the site, and the demo data is labelled illustrative.
Best for. Newly incorporated US startups that want one provider for incorporation, banking, payroll, bookkeeping and tax. UK practices with US subsidiaries to support may prefer the client to use Gusto for payroll alongside a ledger the practice can access, and companies hiring abroad may compare Deel.
Verdict. A well-priced, coherent back office for US founders, but a closed system with no UK relevance. If a client uses it, request export formats for the ledger and payroll records early, and check whether its bookkeeping output meets the standard your year-end work needs.
