About Xenett
Xenett is an AI review and month-end close platform for accounting firms and bookkeepers. It connects to QuickBooks Online and Xero and runs more than 50 AI-based checks across each client's P&L and balance sheet, including duplicate entries, GL inconsistencies, AR and AP issues, undeposited funds, uncategorised entries and missing name, class or location fields, with corrective suggestions and custom review points.
Around the review layer sit a close-status dashboard, close checklists, review notes, workpaper attachments at GL level, preparer and reviewer sign-off and reconciliation discrepancy tracking. The Workflow plan adds project and task management, time tracking, capacity planning, document management and email and Drive or OneDrive integration, and every plan includes a white-labelled client portal and a browser extension. The Accruals + AI add-on automates prepayments, payroll accruals, missing-entry accruals, deferred revenue and clearing-account reconciliations with AI flux analysis, and an Inter-company Rec add-on matches transactions across connected entities.
Pricing is published per client per month in US dollars, with unlimited users, a 14-day free trial and a discount for firms with fewer than ten clients. It is aimed at multi-client firms and bookkeeping practices that want a consistent quality check on every file before the close.

Our in-depth review
Xenett is a quality-control layer for practices with many client files. It does not post the books for you; it checks them, organises the close and makes reviewers faster, which is often where a growing firm loses time and margin.
What it does well. It works on both QuickBooks Online and Xero, which suits UK practices with mixed books. The 50-plus automated checks catch the classic errors, such as duplicates, uncategorised items, undeposited funds and missing tracking fields, before a reviewer opens the file, and the browser extension puts the findings inside the ledger. Pricing is unusually clear and modest: $7.50 per client per month for review, $10 with workflow and time tracking, unlimited users, and add-ons for accruals at $15 and intercompany reconciliations at $10, both free for the first 60 days. The close checklist with preparer and reviewer sign-off gives partners a clear view of where every file stands.
Where it falls short. It is a review tool rather than a preparer, so someone still has to fix what it finds; firms wanting work done rather than checked should compare Mimo or Pilot Meridian. There is no Sage, FreeAgent or IRIS connection. Prices are in US dollars, and some features are US-specific, such as 1099 management, while the site says nothing about UK VAT checks or Making Tax Digital. Fixed asset automation is still marked as coming soon. Accuracy and speed claims elsewhere on the site are the vendor's own. Adding the Accruals module triples the per-client cost of the base review plan, so budget on the full configuration.
Best for. Bookkeeping and accounting practices of any size with a book of QuickBooks Online and Xero clients that want consistent month-end review, close tracking and light practice management in one inexpensive tool. Larger firms needing working papers linked to accounts production should look at Silverfin.
Verdict. One of the best-value review and close tools for multi-client QuickBooks and Xero practices, with transparent pricing. Use the 14-day trial on your ten messiest clients, see how many genuine issues the checks find against false alarms, and test the Accruals add-on during its free period before paying for it.
