About ProcIndex
ProcIndex is a Y Combinator-backed AI accounting platform that deploys agents inside a company's existing ERP rather than replacing it. Its site now positions it for construction and manufacturing finance teams, with four agents: accounts payable (invoice capture, two-way PO matching, dimension coding, approval routing and posting), vendor (answering routine invoice-status questions and escalating the rest), accounts receivable (collections follow-up, promise-to-pay tracking and dispute escalation) and reconciliation (transaction matching and review of unresolved differences).
The ERPs named on the site are SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Acumatica and Epicor; Xero and Sage 50 are not mentioned. The company reports SOC 2 Type II, with encrypted ERP credentials and key rotation, role-based access, an organisation-level kill switch and an append-only audit trail, and the ERP stays the system of record. It reports 94.7% straight-through processing and a 27% reduction in days sales outstanding from its own customers.
ProcIndex was founded in 2025, went through Y Combinator's Summer 2025 batch and is based in San Francisco with a small team. It sells to CFOs and controllers at mid-market and larger businesses, by demo.

Our in-depth review
ProcIndex is aimed at the finance team drowning in supplier invoices: construction and manufacturing businesses where purchase orders, job codes and vendor chasers eat most of the week. Its agents work inside the ERP, so the question is how well they code and match, not whether you migrate.
What it does well. Staying ERP-native is the right design for this market. Invoices are captured, matched to purchase orders, coded to dimensions and routed for approval inside the system of record, and the vendor agent takes the "has my invoice been paid" emails off the AP team. The control features are better than most young vendors offer: SOC 2 Type II, an organisation-level kill switch, role-based access and an append-only audit trail. ERP coverage is broad for a company this size, including Sage Intacct, Acumatica and Epicor, which matter in manufacturing and construction.
Where it falls short. It is a very young company with a small team, and the headline results, 94.7% straight-through processing, 2.8 full-time staff replaced and a 27% fall in DSO, are its own figures from customer case studies rather than independent benchmarks. There is no public pricing, so cost depends on a sales conversation. Only two-way PO matching is mentioned, which may not satisfy businesses that rely on three-way matching against goods received. The site no longer describes a dedicated close agent, so treat it as an AP, AR and reconciliation tool. Xero and Sage 50 are absent, which rules it out for most UK small-business clients.
Best for. Mid-market construction and manufacturing businesses on one of the named ERPs that process large volumes of supplier invoices and want AP and collections automated without changing systems. Accounting practices running many small Xero or QuickBooks clients will get more from a practice-focused tool such as Mimo or Xenett.
Verdict. A focused, sensibly controlled AP and AR agent for ERP-heavy industrial finance teams, but still early. Run a pilot on a month of real invoices, measure coding accuracy and exceptions yourself, check how it handles your matching rules, and confirm the support model given the size of the team.
