About Tabs

Tabs is a revenue automation platform for B2B finance teams. It reads contracts and usage data and turns them into invoices, including complex and usage-based pricing; runs collections from delivery to payment, including automated submission to customers' AP portals; automates revenue recognition under ASC 606; and reports on usage, payments, ARR and revenue in real time.

Its AI features, including smart contract processing, automatic invoices and AI collections, and Tabs Agents that work around the clock within controls the customer sets, are included on every plan at no extra cost. An API and MCP connection let external AI tools read customer, contract, invoice and payment data. The pricing page lists accounting integrations with QuickBooks Online, Intuit Enterprise Suite, Rillet, NetSuite and Sage Intacct, plus custom integrations; Xero is not listed. Tabs cites SOC 2 compliance, encryption and audit-ready controls, and highlights a $55 million Series B.

Pricing is published in bands by company revenue and contract count, starting with the Launch tier at $2,000 a month for businesses up to $5 million in annual revenue and 100 active contracts. It is aimed at venture-backed B2B software companies whose billing has outgrown Stripe and spreadsheets.

Our in-depth review

Tabs targets the part of the close that breaks first in a growing software company: contracts with ramps, usage and custom terms that someone has to turn into invoices, revenue schedules and ARR reports every month. It replaces that spreadsheet work rather than the ledger.

What it does well. Contract-to-cash is handled end to end. Reading terms straight from contracts, generating invoices, chasing payment including AP portal submissions, and producing ASC 606 revenue schedules from the same data removes several hand-offs where errors usually creep in. Including the AI features and agents on every tier is a fair approach, and the published price bands make it easier to budget than most rivals. Named customers such as Statsig and AirOps describe moving off Stripe and spreadsheets, which is exactly the use case. SOC 2 compliance and an MCP connection round it out.

Where it falls short. It is expensive for small businesses: $2,000 a month is the entry point, and implementation is charged on top, priced by tier but not published. Multi-entity and international support are add-ons from the Growth tier, so a UK group invoicing in several currencies should expect custom pricing. Revenue recognition is framed around ASC 606; the site does not set out IFRS 15 or FRS 102 handling, which UK companies would need to test. There is no Xero integration, which excludes most UK small and mid-sized businesses, and nothing on VAT invoicing requirements. Customer quotes on the site are the vendor's selection.

Best for. US or US-style B2B software companies with roughly $2 million to $50 million in revenue, on QuickBooks Online, NetSuite or Sage Intacct, whose billing and revenue schedules have become a monthly bottleneck. Accounting practices are more likely to meet it on a client's stack than to buy it; for general close work on client books, Numeric or Xenett are closer fits.

Verdict. A capable, well-priced-for-its-band revenue platform for software companies with messy contracts, but a poor fit for most UK practices and their clients. If a client is evaluating it, test three of their most awkward contracts end to end, check VAT and UK revenue standards, and get implementation costs in writing.
