About ReconArt

ReconArt is a reconciliation platform for high-volume, multi-source matching, used in banking and financial services, payments, insurance, retail and e-commerce, travel and manufacturing. It is based in Arlington, Virginia, and describes itself as a global platform with clients on six continents.

Its AI features are the ReconArt AI Assistant, which lets users talk to their data and create matching rules in natural language, and IntelliDoc, which extracts and classifies information from documents. The vendor claims 98% accuracy on unstructured PDFs. It says the platform is integrated with ERPs and core banking systems, and a customer case study names NetSuite.

Named customers on the site include MIDFLORIDA Credit Union, TransferGo and First National Bankers Bank. The vendor claims SOX compliance and shows an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 badge; we did not see a SOC 2 claim. Pricing is not published, with a plans page and a demo request as the routes in, and no free trial was mentioned on the pages we read.

Our in-depth review

ReconArt is a heavyweight reconciliation engine rather than a bookkeeping add-on, and it should be judged as such. It is built for finance operations teams matching very large volumes of transactions, and it comes from a US company with customers worldwide.

What it does well. The AI Assistant lets a user describe a matching rule in plain language instead of building it by hand, which cuts the specialist configuration time that traditionally makes reconciliation platforms slow to deploy. IntelliDoc extends the job to unstructured documents such as PDF statements, where the vendor claims 98% accuracy. It handles the unglamorous cases, such as many-to-many matches and payment processor files, that simple bank feed tools cannot. Named customers in credit unions and payments, plus an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 badge and SOX positioning, give it more traction evidence than most start-ups.

Where it falls short. Pricing is not published on the pages we read, and there is no self-serve trial, so you must go through a demo before learning the cost. Funding is not stated. It is aimed at regulated, high-volume organisations, so a small practice reconciling client bank feeds will find it more than they need. The list of named integrations is thin, with NetSuite appearing in a case study rather than a full catalogue, and we found no Xero, QuickBooks or Sage marketplace listing.

Best for. Finance teams at banks, credit unions, payment firms and larger businesses with heavy reconciliation volumes and audit requirements, and accounting firms serving such clients.

Verdict. Treat the demo as a proof of concept: bring a real month of messy data and ask to see the natural-language rule builder create rules you would otherwise write by hand. Ask about implementation time, ERP connectors and the audit trail for AI-created rules. Smaller practices wanting reconciliation inside their ledger should look at Nilus or Ledge instead. For complex, high-volume matching with controls, ReconArt is a serious option. Also ask who maintains matching rules after go-live, how exceptions are routed to reviewers, and what happens to historic matches if you later change vendor.

Common questions about ReconArt

What does ReconArt do?

ReconArt is a reconciliation platform for high-volume matching across bank, payments and ledger data. The vendor says its AI Assistant creates matching rules from plain-language instructions and its IntelliDoc tool extracts and classifies documents, claiming 98% accuracy on unstructured PDFs.

Is ReconArt suitable for small accounting practices?

Probably not. It is aimed at banks, credit unions, payment firms and larger finance teams with heavy volumes, and pricing is not published. A small practice reconciling client bank feeds in Xero or QuickBooks will usually be better served by a lighter tool.

What security certifications does ReconArt show?

The vendor claims SOX compliance and displays an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 badge. We did not see a SOC 2 claim on the pages we read, so ask the vendor directly if your clients require it.

Does ReconArt connect to NetSuite?

Yes, a customer case study on the vendor's site names NetSuite, and the vendor says the platform integrates with ERPs and core banking systems. A full connector list was not shown on the pages we read, so request it during the demo.

How much does ReconArt cost?

Not published; plans and demo on request. No free trial stated on the pages we read. We last checked the price on 3 November 2026. See current pricing on ReconArt's site.

Is ReconArt worth it?

We score ReconArt 3.9 out of 5. A credible enterprise reconciliation engine with useful AI rule-building, but opaque pricing and too heavy for small practices.

What are the alternatives to ReconArt?

The highest-scored alternatives in Bank reconciliation are Atlar (4.3/5), Wesley (4.2/5) and Confido (4.2/5). Compare them side by side.
