About Getbeel

Getbeel is an invoice collection tool for small businesses. It connects to Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP mailbox, watches it continuously, and uses AI to find, extract and categorise every invoice and receipt that arrives, with a retroactive search across past quarters and years. Each document lands in a dashboard showing vendor, invoice number, date, amount, category and status, and the original PDF can be viewed and downloaded.

A bank reconciliation feature matches bank transactions to invoices and labels each as an exact match, a fuzzy match or unmatched for review, and spending analytics show monthly trends by vendor and category. Accountants and team members can be invited to review invoices and export PDFs without access to the client's mailbox. The site lists QuickBooks, Xero and Stripe among connected tools without describing how deep those connections go. It states GDPR compliance, SSL and encryption at rest, and the site is available in English, Italian, Spanish and French. Plans run from $29 to $79 a month by invoice volume and connected mailboxes, with scanned-invoice bundles from $12 a month.

It is aimed at founders and small teams, including creative and e-commerce brands, that want invoices gathered before they reach their accountant.

Our in-depth review

The first job in any small-business bookkeeping engagement is usually finding the paperwork, and much of it is buried in a founder's inbox. Getbeel does that one job: it searches the mailbox, pulls out every invoice and receipt, and lines them up against the bank.

What it does well. It is simple and cheap. Connecting a mailbox takes minutes, and the retroactive search means a backlog of past quarters can be gathered on day one, which is the moment an accountant taking on a messy new client most needs it. Exact, fuzzy and unmatched flags on bank lines show quickly what is missing. Accountant access without mailbox access is a sensible privacy design, and pricing is clear, from $29 a month for 125 invoices and two mailboxes to $79 for 450 and unlimited mailboxes.

Where it falls short. It is a collection tool, not a bookkeeping system. It does not post coded bills to a ledger in the way Dext or AutoEntry do; QuickBooks and Xero appear in the list of connected tools, but the site does not explain what those connections do, so test before relying on them. Bank matching relies on transaction data, and paper receipts need paid scanned-invoice bundles. Prices are in dollars only, there is no VAT-specific handling or MTD support, and the company gives little information about itself. Security statements are brief and self-declared, which matters for a tool that reads an entire business mailbox.

Best for. Solo founders and very small teams, especially those whose suppliers email invoices, who want everything gathered in one place for their accountant, and bookkeepers onboarding clients with years of invoices sitting in an inbox.

Verdict. A neat, low-cost way to dig invoices out of an inbox, but not a capture-to-ledger tool. Try it on a new client's mailbox to recover a full year of invoices, then check how the export or ledger connection works in practice. For ongoing UK bookkeeping with coding, VAT and publishing to Xero, Dext, AutoEntry or Datamolino are better fits.
