About Trullion

Trullion is an AI accounting platform for audit teams and corporate finance teams. It combines Trulli, an assistant that queries standards and surfaces sourced answers, with Workflows that automate work from data ingestion to validated outputs and a Knowledge layer that cross-references standards, policies and documentation.

For auditors, the site lists Financial Statement Validation, Document Matching, Data Extraction and Substantive Testing. For finance teams, the lease module extracts terms from PDF or Excel contracts, records amendments as modifications, and produces journal entries and disclosure reports under ASC 842, IFRS 16, FRS 102 and GASB 87, with an audit log back to the contract. Journal entries push natively to NetSuite; other systems take an Excel or CSV export with GL mapping codes. Revenue recognition and revenue leakage modules sit alongside. The site footer names Trullion Ltd, and press coverage reports 34 million US dollars raised since 2020, with Third Point Ventures and StepStone Group among investors.

It is positioned for audit firms, internal audit teams and mid-sized to large finance functions; customer logos on the site include monday.com, Taboola, Lemonade and Ferrovial.

Our in-depth review

Trullion covers two jobs that rarely share a product: helping auditors test and tie out evidence, and helping finance teams run lease and revenue accounting. The common thread is pulling data out of contracts and documents while keeping a trail back to the source, which is what an auditor wants to see from either side of the table.

What it does well. Extraction with traceability is the core strength. Lease terms come out of PDFs into structured schedules, amendments are kept as modifications with history intact, and journal entries and disclosures link back to the contract. FRS 102 sits alongside IFRS 16 and ASC 842, which matters for UK clients, and the native NetSuite push removes one manual export for finance teams on that ERP. On the audit side, document matching and financial statement validation target the dull, error-prone parts of substantive testing.

Where it falls short. No prices are published; the company says cost depends on portfolio size, complexity, standards and level of automation, so expect an annual quote after a demo. Outside NetSuite, integration means a CSV or Excel export. The site lists no security certifications; a third-party directory reports SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II audits, so ask for the reports before uploading client contracts. Breadth is also a risk: a firm buying for audit pays for lease features it may not need, and a finance team buying for leases gets audit tools it will not use. There has been no visible funding news since around 2023.

Best for. Mid-sized and larger audit practices testing contract-heavy clients, and finance teams with a real lease portfolio under IFRS 16 or FRS 102. A practice that only wants faster vouching inside Excel should look at DataSnipper first; for ledger data extraction from client systems, Validis; for evidence requests, Suralink. In a trial, load one client's actual lease schedule and one test file, and check every output ties back to a page.

Verdict. A capable, document-first platform with genuine FRS 102 support, held back by quote-only pricing, thin published integrations and unpublished security documentation.
