About Trintech
Trintech is a long-established financial close software company. Its products include Cadency, Adra, ReconNET, Frontier, Accurate and DATAFlow, and its platform covers transaction matching, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entry automation and close task management, with embedded AI throughout. In April 2026 it announced agentic AI for the close, with named agents for variance analysis, flux review, exception management, accruals and data access, and a person kept in the loop.
The website lists integrations with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday, Planful and ServiceNow; Xero, QuickBooks and Sage are not mentioned. Logos on the site include Costa Coffee, Specsavers, Serco, Siemens, ABB and CBRE, and the company said in March 2026 that six of the ten largest global banks use it for daily reconciliation and close. It says it ranks first across four G2 reports for financial close and reconciliation. Homepage results such as auto-match rates above 99 per cent and a 75 per cent shorter close are the company's own, with no stated baseline.
Cadency is aimed at large enterprises and banks, while Adra serves mid-sized finance teams. Pricing is not published and buyers are directed to book a demo.

Our in-depth review
Trintech sells the record-to-report back end for large finance functions: matching high transaction volumes, evidencing every balance sheet reconciliation and running the close checklist so auditors find what they need. It is one of the incumbents in that market, and this listing matters to practices with large corporate clients or staff moving into industry.
What it does well. Depth and track record. Matching, reconciliations, journals and task management sit on one platform, and the company's claim that six of the top ten global banks use it for daily reconciliation says a lot about volume and control if it holds. The new agents for variance, flux, exceptions and accruals target the review work that still dominates a close once matching is automated. The ERP list covers what large UK groups actually run, and UK names such as Costa Coffee, Specsavers and Serco appear among its logos. Adra gives mid-sized teams a lighter entry point than Cadency.
Where it falls short. This is not small business software. There is no Xero, QuickBooks or Sage connection on the site, no public pricing and only a demo route, which points to a sales-led annual contract and, for Cadency, an implementation measured in months. The headline percentages for match rates, close time and write-offs are unattributed vendor figures. The agents were announced in April 2026, so ask which are generally available, which are on a roadmap, and how AI suggestions are evidenced for auditors.
Best for. Listed groups, banks and large UK businesses on SAP, Oracle or Dynamics that need controlled, auditable reconciliation at scale, with Adra for mid-sized teams on NetSuite or similar. Practices reconciling many small client ledgers should look at Xero-native tools in this directory instead. Mid-market buyers shortlisting close software should also compare BlackLine and FloQast, and Numeric for a lighter, newer option.
Verdict. A credible enterprise choice for reconciliation and the close, with AI agents now layered on a mature base. Expect enterprise pricing and implementation effort, ask for reference customers of your size and ERP, and test the agents on a live close cycle before relying on them.
