About Round Treasury

Round Treasury is a UK finance platform that combines payment and treasury infrastructure with AI agents. It covers treasury, accounts payable, payroll payments and multi-entity cash visibility, and finance teams build workflows from templates, an AI builder or a drag-and-drop editor.

Invoices can be captured, coded and approved and payments scheduled with little manual input, and payroll files are processed and paid on pay date with approvals routed through the platform. On the treasury side, idle cash can be placed in BlackRock money market funds with next-day liquidity, automated sweeps move money where it is needed, and savings accounts and FX are offered. Agents include an AI Treasury Manager, margin call automation and an account opening agent, with MCP support. Round aggregates more than 2,000 UK and EU bank accounts through Open Banking and integrates with Xero, NetSuite, Google Sheets, Stripe, Pleo, Slack and WhatsApp. Round Financial Limited is authorised by the FCA (FRN 1050315), and the company states ISO 27001 certification.

The free Launch plan includes 25 invoices and 10 payroll payments a month, with overage of £1.20 per invoice and an FX fee of 0.5 per cent; Growth and Enterprise are quoted. Round has announced a 6 million US dollar raise and says more than 500 million US dollars has been processed. It is aimed at UK finance teams, founders and CFOs.

Our in-depth review

Round Treasury is a UK-built finance operations platform that pays the bills, runs payroll payments and puts idle cash to work, with AI agents and workflows doing the routine parts. Reconciliation is a by-product: because payments run through Round and sync to Xero or NetSuite, the ledger records what was paid without re-keying.

What it does well. It is genuinely UK-first: FCA authorised, Open Banking connections to more than 2,000 UK and EU accounts, and pricing in pounds. The Xero integration matters for the many UK scale-ups on Xero. Putting payables, payroll payments and treasury in one place with approval workflows suits small finance teams that cannot afford separate tools, and the money market fund option gives idle cash a return with next-day access. ISO 27001 is stated, and the free Launch plan with published overage rates lets a team try it at low risk.

Where it falls short. Only the free tier is priced; Growth and Enterprise are quoted, and usage charges for FX, invoices, AI workflow bundles and users add up. The pricing page is internally inconsistent about the Launch plan's supplier payment allowance, so get it confirmed in writing. QuickBooks and Sage are not listed. Treasury products bring their own considerations: FSCS cover depends on eligibility and per-bank limits, and money market funds are investments, not deposits. Customer results such as a 75 per cent cut in invoice processing time are the company's own figures. For accountants, this is a client's platform rather than a practice tool.

Best for. UK venture-backed companies and multi-entity groups on Xero or NetSuite with a small finance team, and outsourced finance practices that run payables and payroll payments for such clients. For multi-bank treasury at larger groups, Atlar goes deeper on connectivity; for AI reconciliation of ordinary small business bank feeds, Booke AI fits better.

Verdict. A credible, regulated UK platform that brings payables, payroll payments and cash management together with sensible Xero sync. Start on the free plan with one entity's supplier run, and have the client's adviser review the treasury options before moving any cash.
