About Circit

Circit is an evidence platform that connects auditors directly to banks, fund service providers and other counterparties so that financial data can be verified at source. Confirm automates confirmation requests with direct bank and counterparty connections and real-time tracking. Verify checks bank data independently at source, down to every transaction, and supplies standardised bank data through APIs for AI-enabled audit work. Engage is a client workspace for requests, documents, signing and verified data, with a shared view of what is outstanding.

Founded in Dublin in 2017, Circit raised 22 million dollars of growth equity in February 2026, led by Ten Coves Capital with Aquiline and MiddleGame Ventures, to deepen bank API connectivity and grow in the US. At that point it reported more than 400 audit firms, including all of the Top 20 global networks, and a network of over 30,000 banks and evidence providers. Circit UK Limited is regulated by the FCA and the Irish entity by the Central Bank of Ireland, and the company cites SOC 2 and ISO 27001. It is an approved electronic channel for JPMorgan Chase confirmations and has added direct US bank connections.

It suits audit firms of all sizes, particularly in the UK and Ireland.

Our in-depth review

Circit fixes a problem that has burned the profession more than once: bank and counterparty confirmations that are slow, chased by post or email, and occasionally forged. By routing requests and bank data directly between auditor and institution, it removes the client from the middle of the evidence chain, which is the right architecture for this kind of work.

What it does well. Adoption is the strongest signal, with all of the Top 20 networks on board and a long list of bank logos, which matters because a confirmations platform is only as good as the counterparties that answer on it. The product now goes beyond confirmations: Verify gives full-transaction bank data at source, and Engage puts client requests and signing in one place. FCA and Central Bank of Ireland regulation, plus SOC 2 and ISO 27001, cover the questions an ethics or risk partner will raise. The February 2026 funding and US bank connections suggest steady investment.

Where it falls short. Pricing is quote-based and not published, so smaller practices should work out the cost per confirmation and per engagement before committing. It is a specialist evidence layer, not an audit file, and the site does not mention links to Caseware, Xero, QuickBooks or Sage, so data still has to be moved into the engagement file. The AI claims are general rather than specific, and the company's own usage figures vary between pages, which makes it hard to know the true scale.

Best for. UK and Irish audit firms of any size that send bank and counterparty confirmations every season and want them faster and harder to fake. In a trial, send a full season's bank confirmations through Circit and track response times by bank, especially smaller UK lenders and overseas banks. Firms wanting full-population transaction testing from US bank feeds might compare Audit Sight, while those wanting AI on the documents inside the file should look at DataSnipper.

Verdict. The credible modern standard for audit confirmations, strongest in the UK and Ireland and widening its reach. Get the per-confirmation economics in writing first.
