About Caseware Verity

Caseware Verity is an AI intelligence and orchestration layer built into Caseware's assurance and financial reporting platform rather than sold as a standalone tool. Practitioners work with it inside the engagement file, and specialised agents handle defined tasks across four phases: preparing data, planning, evaluating evidence and reporting.

Caseware announced Verity on 20 May 2026 with a Disclosure Checklist Agent, a Document Intelligence Agent in closed beta and a Risk Suggestion Agent in alpha. The Risk Suggestion Agent launched worldwide on 6 October 2026 at CwX London, included at no extra cost within a Verity licence, and the Disclosure Checklist Agent was extended from US DAS Suite customers to the UK. Caseware's site lists further agents for GL import, account assignment, controls testing, revenue recognition, notes and disclosures, XBRL tagging and statement formatting, all marked coming soon. Caseware says outputs are citation-backed, engagement data is isolated and not used to train models, and cites SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. Its beta figures of 94% accuracy and 2.7 review hours saved per checklist run are its own.

It is positioned at audit and assurance firms already on Caseware, including DAS Suite users, across the UK, US and other markets.

Key Features

  • Disclosure Checklist Agent that drafts citation-backed checklist answers from the financial statements
  • Risk Suggestion Agent that proposes engagement-specific risks from financial data, controls and documents
  • Document Intelligence Agent that extracts source document data into workpapers
  • Runs inside the firm's own Caseware environment with practitioner sign-off on every suggestion

Our in-depth review

Verity is Caseware putting agents where its users already work, inside the engagement file, rather than asking auditors to copy client data into a separate AI tool. For a regulated workflow where every judgement must be documented, that is the right design, and it is the main reason to take Verity seriously.

What it does well. The live agents target narrow, document-heavy tasks: disclosure checklists, which are tedious and error-prone, and engagement-specific risk suggestions drawn from current and prior-year figures, existing risks and controls. Every suggestion is a draft that the practitioner must accept before it enters the file, which keeps responsibility where regulators expect it. Keeping data inside the firm's Caseware environment and out of model training answers the first question most audit partners and data protection officers will ask. Including the Risk Suggestion Agent in the existing Verity licence removes one cost objection, and the UK extension of the Disclosure Checklist Agent makes it relevant to UK firms now rather than later.

Where it falls short. It only helps firms on Caseware, so it is not a reason to switch audit platforms on its own. Most of the agents on Caseware's own site are still marked coming soon, so firms are buying a roadmap as much as a product. The accuracy and time-saving figures come from Caseware's own beta, and Verity licence pricing is not published, so budget conversations need an account manager.

Best for. UK and US audit and assurance firms already running engagements on Caseware or the DAS Suite that want AI help with planning and reporting without adding another vendor. In a pilot, run the Risk Suggestion Agent on a closed file and compare its output with the risks the team actually recorded, and time a disclosure checklist with and without the agent. Firms not on Caseware should compare DataSnipper or Fieldguide.

Verdict. A credible, well-governed AI layer for existing Caseware firms, worth piloting now; wait for independent evidence on accuracy before relying on it beyond first drafts.

A well-governed set of audit agents built into Caseware that existing Caseware firms should pilot, with accuracy claims still the vendor's own and much of the roadmap still to ship.
