About 4ID Foresight
4ID Foresight is the client retention and growth product from 4impactdata, a Dallas-based company founded in 2020, publicly launched on 14 July 2026 for CPA firms and outsourced accounting teams. It reads the books of every client in a firm's portfolio each month and gives each one a Business Health Indicator score, sorted into red, amber and green.
The Portfolio Monitor flags clients at risk of financial distress, which the company says it can do up to 18 months ahead, with plain-language explanations and conversation frameworks for the outreach call. The Opportunity Map suggests up to three prioritised service opportunities per client, with project plans and call sheets. QuickBooks Online and Xero connections are included; Sage Intacct and NetSuite cost extra. 4impactdata says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant, onboarding typically takes one to two weeks, and the product came through the AICPA and CPA.com Startup Accelerator. Creative Planning is a named case study.
It is aimed at US firms building client advisory services that want a systematic way to decide which clients to call each month. The site makes no mention of UK use, and its scoring is built around US practice.

Our in-depth review
Most practices know their client book only as well as their last year-end. 4ID Foresight tries to turn the ledgers a firm already holds into a monthly early-warning and sales list, telling partners which clients are slipping and which are ready for more advisory work.
What it does well. The idea is commercially sharp. Rather than another dashboard for one client, it looks across the whole portfolio and ranks clients, which is the view a managing partner needs. Each flag comes with an explanation and a suggested conversation, and the Opportunity Map attaches call sheets and project outlines, so the output is something a manager can act on. Pricing is published: from $4,950 a year covering 50 clients and 10 users with QuickBooks Online and Xero included, with extra 50-client blocks at the same price. A one-off $495 revenue assessment lets a firm test the output before subscribing.
Where it falls short. The headline claims, early warning up to 18 months ahead and $1 million to $2 million of revenue protected per 100 clients, are the company's own projections with no independent evidence yet. Predictions are only as good as the books behind them, so clients whose bookkeeping runs months behind will produce weak signals. Sage Intacct and NetSuite cost extra and the charge is not listed. There is no Sage Accounting, FreeAgent or IRIS connector, and nothing shows the model has been tuned for UK businesses, so a UK firm should treat it as untested.
Best for. US CPA firms and outsourced accounting teams with a large Xero or QuickBooks Online client base and a deliberate push into client advisory services. Buy the $495 assessment first, check the red and amber list against what your managers already know, and see whether the suggested opportunities match services you actually sell.
Verdict. A useful portfolio radar for advisory-minded US firms at a fair published price, but its predictive claims are unproven and UK practices should see the one-off assessment work on their own book first.
