About OCTA

OCTA is an AI platform for accounting firms that combines practice management with AI routines for recurring work. Its routines handle bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end checks, and the platform adds a CRM, workflow automation, a client portal, document management, client billing, reporting and practice management. Unusually, OCTA also markets the firm and brings in new clients, taking a commission on each one.

Pricing is published. Starter is $800 a month for 2 team members and 5 AI Workspace credits, Practice is $1,200 a month for 10 team members and 300 credits, and Firm is $2,500 a month for 30 team members and 800 credits. The commission on new clients falls from 25 percent on Starter to 15 percent on Practice and 10 percent on Firm, and card payments cost 3.5 percent plus $0.50 on every plan. OCTA lists ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS and GDPR on every plan.

OCTA is based in the UAE and serves firms in the Gulf and the United States. In September 2026 it announced a $3.5 million seed round led by Middle East Venture Partners, and it reported that more than 520 accounting firms registered for its OCTA Flow agents in the six weeks after launch.

Our in-depth review

OCTA is two products in one: an AI practice platform that takes routine bookkeeping and close work off a firm's team, and a growth service that finds the firm new clients. That combination is rare, and it changes the maths of the subscription.

What it does well. The routines target the work that eats a small firm's week: bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end checks, with a firm-level view of what is done and what needs review. Practice management, a client portal, billing and documents sit in the same system, so a small firm can replace several tools. Prices are published, which most practice platforms in this space do not do, and security certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS) are listed on every plan. The case studies on its site report reconciliation times falling from hours to minutes, though these are the vendor's own figures.

Where it falls short. It is expensive for a small practice: $800 a month on Starter, with only 5 AI Workspace credits, before the 25 percent commission on any client OCTA brings in. Firms that do not want OCTA's client acquisition still pay for a platform built around it. The company is young, its traction figures are its own, and it does not publish a full integration list on its pricing page. Card payments at 3.5 percent plus $0.50 are above typical processing rates.

Best for. Growing accounting and bookkeeping firms in the US and the Gulf that want more clients as well as less routine work, and that would otherwise pay separately for practice management and marketing. Compare it with Karbon or Financial Cents if you only need practice management.

Verdict. An ambitious, transparently priced practice platform with a growth engine attached; worth a demo for firms that want new clients, but price the commission into the decision.
